เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 2 กันยายน 2568 กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา ได้ประกาศเตือนว่า “ระหว่างวันที่ 4 – 8 กันยายน 2568 ประเทศไทยยังคงมีฝนตกหนักถึงหนักมากในหลายพื้นที่ โดยเฉพาะภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล รวมทั้งมีคลื่นลมแรงในทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทย ซึ่งอาจทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมฉับพลัน น้ำป่าไหลหลาก และดินสไลด์ในพื้นที่เสี่ยง”

พันเอก วีรยุทธ์ น้อมศิริ รองโฆษกกระทรวงกลาโหม กล่าวว่า พลเอก ณัฐพล นาคพาณิชย์ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม รักษาราชการแทนรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้แสดงความห่วงใยต่อความปลอดภัยของพี่น้องประชาชน พร้อมกำชับให้กองทัพทุกเหล่าทัพ จัดเตรียมกำลังพล ยุทโธปกรณ์ และศูนย์บรรเทาสาธารณภัยในทุกภูมิภาค เพื่อให้สามารถเข้าช่วยเหลือประชาชนที่ได้รับผลกระทบได้อย่างทันท่วงทีและมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด ในพื้นที่ภาคเหนือ หน่วยเฉพาะกิจสิงหนาท กองกำลังนเรศวร ได้จัดเฮลิคอปเตอร์ใช้งานทั่วไปแบบ 212 จำนวน 2 เครื่อง จากกองพันบินที่ 2 ศูนย์การบินทหารบก ลำเลียงน้ำดื่มและถุงยังชีพ จากกองอำนวยการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย อำเภอเมืองแม่ฮ่องสอน และศูนย์ประสานงานช่วยเหลือประชาชน “สะพานบุญครูหนึ่ง” ส่งตรงไปยัง บ้านหนองเขียว บ้านพะนอคี บ้านห้วยหมากกลาง และบ้านทุ่งมะขามป้อม ตำบลห้วยโป่ง จังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน ซึ่งได้รับผลกระทบจากน้ำป่าไหลหลาก และดินสไลด์จนถนนถูกตัดขาด รวมทั้งฟื้นฟูบ้านเรือนของประชาชนที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากอุทกภัย และก่อสร้างสะพานเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกด้านการคมนาคมในพื้นที่ที่ถนนถูกตัดขาด เพื่อให้ประชาชนสามารถสัญจรได้ตามปกติ

ในส่วนของจังหวัดน่าน กองพลทหารม้าที่ 1 โดยกองพันทหารม้าที่ 10 กรมทหารม้าที่ 2 ได้ดำเนินการจัดทำแนวกระสอบทราย เพื่อป้องกันกระแสน้ำเข้าท่วมบ้านเรือนประชาชน ในพื้นที่บ้านดอนไชย อำเภอเวียงสา พร้อมทั้งจัดกำลังพล ศูนย์บรรเทาสาธารณภัย มณฑลทหารบกที่ 38 และหน่วยฝึกนักศึกษาวิชาทหาร ร่วมกับหน่วยงานราชการในพื้นที่ ลงพื้นที่ฟื้นฟูบ้านเรือนและสาธารณูปโภค รวมถึงจัดชุดแพทย์และแจกจ่ายยารักษาโรค เพื่อบรรเทาความเดือดร้อนจากพายุโซนร้อน “คาจิกิ (KAJIKI)” ด้านการปฏิบัติการจิตอาสา โรงพยาบาลสนามที่ 5 กองพันที่ 1 ได้สนับสนุนกำลังพลร่วมค้นหาและกู้ภัยกับเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ สถานีตำรวจภูธรแม่แจ่ม เจ้าหน้าที่หน่วยปฏิบัติการพิเศษเชียงดาว หน่วยบัญชาการทหารพัฒนา ตำรวจตระเวนชายแดน กองร้อยทหารพรานที่ 3604 เจ้าหน้าที่ป่าไม้ เจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิเพชรเกษม ตลอดจนประชาชนจิตอาสาในพื้นที่รวมกว่า 100 นาย เพื่อค้นหาผู้สูญหายจากเหตุการณ์ดินถล่มที่บ้านปางอุ๋ง หมู่ที่ 1 ตำบลแม่ศึก อำเภอแม่แจ่ม จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ซึ่งปัจจุบันยังคงดำเนินการค้นหาเด็กชายผู้สูญหายอีก 2 ราย อายุ 5 ขวบ และ 6 ขวบ

พันเอก วีรยุทธ์ฯ ได้กล่าวปิดท้ายว่า ทั้งนี้ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม เน้นย้ำให้กองทัพยืนหยัดปฏิบัติภารกิจเพื่อช่วยเหลือประชาชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง นอกจากการดูแลความมั่นคงและความสงบเรียบร้อยตามแนวชายแดนแล้ว ยังพร้อมระดมสรรพกำลัง เพื่อดูแลความปลอดภัย ฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ และบรรเทาความเดือดร้อนให้กับพี่น้องประชาชนทุกคน โดยเร็วที่สุด

Deputy Minister of Defence expresses concern for Thai citizens, instructs the military to be prepared for floods
On Tuesday, 2 September 2025, the Meteorological Department issued a warning that “between 4 – 8 September 2025, Thailand will continue to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in many areas, particularly in the North, Northeast, Bangkok and its vicinity, along with strong waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. These conditions may cause flash floods, forest runoffs, and landslides in at-risk areas.”
Colonel Veerayuth Nomsiri, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, stated that General Nattapon Nakpanit, Deputy Minister of Defence and Acting Minister of Defence, expressed his concern for the safety of the people and instructed all branches of the Armed Forces to prepare personnel, equipment, and disaster relief centers across all regions. This readiness is to ensure rapid and effective assistance to people affected.
In the northern region, the Singhanat Task Force, Naresuan Forces, deployed two Bell 212 utility helicopters from the 2nd Aviation Battalion, Army Aviation Center, to transport drinking water and survival kits from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Mueang Mae Hong Son District, and the “Saphan Boon Khru Neung” Coordination Center directly to Nong Khiew, Phano Kee, Huai Mak Klang, and Thung Makham Pom villages in Huai Pong Subdistrict, Mae Hong Son Province. These communities had been cut off due to flash floods and landslides. The units also supported rehabilitation of damaged houses and the construction of temporary bridges to restore transportation routes for local residents.
In Nan Province, the 1st Cavalry Division, through the 10th Cavalry Battalion of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, constructed sandbag embankments to protect houses in Don Chai Village, Wiang Sa District, from flooding. Disaster Relief Center personnel from the 38th Military Circle and territorial defense student units, in cooperation with local government agencies, also joined efforts to rehabilitate homes and public utilities. Medical teams were deployed to distribute medicine and provide healthcare to those affected by Tropical Storm “KAJIKI”.
In terms of volunteer operations, the 5th Field Hospital of the 1st Battalion deployed personnel to join police officers from Mae Chaem Police Station, Chiang Dao Special Operations Unit, Armed Forces Development Command, Border Patrol Police, the 3604th Ranger Company, forestry officials, Phetkasem Foundation staff, and more than 100 local volunteers in search and rescue operations. Their mission focused on locating victims of a landslide in Pang Ung Village, Mae Suek Subdistrict, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province, where two missing boys, aged 5 and 6, remain unaccounted for.
Colonel Veerayuth concluded by stating that the Deputy Minister of Defence has emphasized the military’s continued commitment to supporting the people. In addition to safeguarding security and peace along the borders, the Armed Forces stand ready to mobilize resources to ensure safety, rehabilitate affected areas, and alleviate hardships of all citizens as swiftly as possible.
